§1.0Haul accepts full replacement liability for any item damaged during a move we have contracted to perform. Replacement value, not depreciated value. If we break it, we replace it at today\'s price. A signed inventory is your proof. Our crew photographs every item before loading — that record is yours within 24 hours of move completion.
Claims Process
§2.0Submit a claim within 7 calendar days of delivery. We will respond within 48 hours with an assessment. If liability is confirmed, settlement is paid within 14 business days — no solicitors, no disputes, no forms in triplicate. Our SARI membership means an independent arbitrator is available if you need one.
What Is Covered
§3.0All items listed on the signed inventory are covered from the moment our crew touches them to the moment they are placed in your new property. Furniture, electronics, art, wine, instruments, server hardware. High-value items over R50,000 require a pre-move photograph and written confirmation — we will ask for this automatically during booking.
Exclusions
§4.0Items packed by the client in unsealed, unlabelled, or structurally compromised boxes are excluded from liability unless our crew flagged the condition at collection and you chose to proceed. We will always tell you before we load something we consider a risk. If we load it without flagging it, it is our responsibility.
